Come sharpen your basketball skills with Scarborough High School Boy's Varsity Coach, Phil Conley. We will work on shooting, ball handling, passing, rebounding and will play 3 on 3.

This program is for brand-new or beginner tennis players. Led by a SafeSport-approved USTA coach, instruction will focus on FUN and learning the basics. We use age appropriate equipment that makes learning easy. All players in their first session will receive and keep a new age-appropriate racquet and a ball!

This program is designed to help kids develop a plan to create a product to sell. The sessions will give them opportunities to work on concepts like supplies, inventory, cost, profit, marketing, and selling. The program will culminate in a craft fair on 12/7 where students can put all of the practice and lessons to the test through real product sales.

Fall Soccer is back! We will be holding our traditional 6-week recreational fall soccer program in September and October this year. In this program, players will be grouped in grade-level teams and will learn the skills needed to play this fun and fast-paced sport. Teams will have one practice during the week with a 1-hour game on Saturdays (dates and times to be determined based on enrollment). Shin guards are mandatory and mouth guards are highly recommended.

Please Note: Each division has been assigned to a specific field/location tentatively. Locations may change based on enrollment and field availability. Coaches’ meeting and team meet-and-greet with pictures to be determined as we get closer to the start date.

There is a strict deadline of July 7 in order to finalize rosters for our volunteer coaches and develop game schedules for the appropriate number of teams. After the deadline, registration will be closed until more coaches have volunteered. Special requests will not be accepted after June 9. Registrations beyond the July deadline will incur a $10 late fee.

Come join in the fun of this popular fall sport. This program involves learning the proper technique used in running through different terrain such as woods, fields, and walking paths. Practices are held Mondays and Fridays. Participants who are interested in competing can attend the optional cross-country meets on Wednesday afternoons beginning at the end of September (transportation not provided). Instructor: TBD

Shirts for this program may be purchased through the instructors for a fee of $10.

Come learn the basic skills required to play field hockey at these weekly sessions. Children will be grouped by grade level to work on individual and team skills. There will be some Sunday play dates at surrounding communities for this program (dates, times, and locations TBD). Instructor: Coach Kyla Wigant.

What a great way to introduce your child to the sport of basketball! We will be running our popular recreation basketball program this year, set to begin in January.

- Grades PreK-K (Co-Ed) and Grades 1-2 teams will only take place on Saturdays. Participants will have a practice followed immediately by a game on each Saturday session. Grades 3-4 & Grades 5-6 will have a one-hour practice during the week and a one-hour game on Saturdays.

- We will only accept one request per player for Grades PreK-K and Grades 1-2. You may request a coach or one friend. Registrations completed online will also follow this request policy. We do not accept any requests for practice days and times, t-shirt color, or geographic requests (e.g., stating “with other kids from Pleasant Hill). Requests put through the roster notes will be invalid. Team placement requests cannot be guaranteed. No special requests for Grades 3-4.

- Community Services will only place 10 kids on a team for basketball.

- The coaches meeting details will be emailed to our volunteers prior to the meeting date.

** Times and locations for games will vary based on the division and gym availability. Games are typically held no earlier than 8:00 am and are played no later than 4:00 pm. Detailed information on game times and locations will be available on our website closer to the program start date.
